Jobs can often feel like suffocating chains that confine us to a life of limited financial growth. We receive just enough income to scrape by, with little room for significant improvements. The very act of asking for more is met with punishment, creating a culture that discourages ambition and stifles our aspirations for a better future. Within the workplace, verbal abuse lurks as a distressingly common occurrence, while incidents of physical abuse, assault, and mistreatment often go unreported or unnoticed.
