A cat commands the waves to speak.  

Aboard the ship, with steady paws,  

It guards the crew with silent claws.


In pirate garb, it moves with grace,  

A whiskered hero of the chase.  

And on this day, we honor thee,  

The pirate cat, wild and free.


On this whimsical day, I will embrace the adventurous, whiskered companions who have silently shaped my history with their quiet strength and charm.
