Beyond the Blue: A Tribute to Jessica

In memory of Officer Jessica Ebbighausen Beyond the Blue: A Tribute to Jessica   By Drakovi Bloodrose  In a hazy time, she was set to begin, Training at the academy, her dreams within. A future officer, strong and brave, Her passion for service, she couldn't waive. The Rutland Chief, with heavy heart, Asked for support, as they fell apart. Ebbighausen's smile, always bright, A family member, now taken from sight. Since she was nine, the dream took root, An internship paved the way to pursuit. But fate had other plans in store, Leaving behind those who adore. The department changed its rules, they say, To curb pursuits in a safer way. Yet, details remained hidden and sealed, While mourning a loss that's hard to shield. The state police launched an inquiry, To find the truth and clarify. Reviewing all that did transpire, Hoping someday, answers acquire. Before her, 28 officers fell, In Vermont's line of duty, they dwell. Two in pursuits, tragically lost, And she, the youn...

Whispers of the Azure Wild

I donated the following poem to the Reid Park Zoo. Whispers of the Azure Wild by: Drakovi Bloodrose  In lands afar, where forests dense, Where Africa's heart beats wild and immense,  A pair of duikers, dainty and small, Grace Reid Park Zoo, they've answered the call. From Maryland's embrace, fair Marigold came, Her delicate frame, a flicker of flame, And beside her, a male with eyes so bright, Viazi, the tiny, a spirited sight. Blue duikers they're named, these creatures rare, In stature low, yet spirits flare, African jewels, a treasure untold, In Reid Park's care, their story unfolds. In search of fruits, they roam the terrain, With grace and beauty, they sustain, Beneath the canopy, they dance and play, A symphony of life in nature's array. From birds on high, and primates wise, They glean their meals, a sweet surprise, Moisture-rich diets, nature's design, A wonder to behold, this life's lifeline. With footfall soft, they share their space, Amongst r...

Tesla Cyber Truck Anthem

In a world of steel and bolts, a vision did arise, A machine unlike any other, a marvel for our eyes, With wheels like gleaming halos and a frame so strong and stout, The Tesla Cyber Truck came forth, leaving skeptics in no doubt. Elon's dream, now made real, a futuristic delight, An electric beast of power, the future shining bright, Its armor skin, impervious, a shield of stainless might, A warrior on the asphalt, breaking barriers with flight. Its heart a battery humming, electrons dancing free, No exhaust to mar the air, just green simplicity, As it glides across the highways, with a silent, gentle grace, A symbol of tomorrow, the paradigm to chase. The cabin, oh so spacious, a cockpit like a plane, With screens and buttons glowing, in a sleek, sleek terrain, Autonomy, the pilot, with intelligence untamed, In every journey taken, the allure remains untamed. Yet, with all its modern wonder, it still holds a retro flare, A nod to classic grandeur, evoking time's affair, A sta...

Flames of Tucson: The Palm Tree's Lament

Flames of Tucson: The Palm Tree's Lament by Drakovi Bloodrose  In the arid lands of Tucson's grasp, Where the desert winds their secrets rasp, A palm tree stood, tall and grand, In the scorching sun's relentless hand. Its fronds of green, a soothing sight, A refuge from the heat's cruel bite, But fate had other plans in store, A tale of terror, to implore. One fateful night, the tempest roared, Dark clouds amassed and spirits soared, The heavens wept, with thunder's might, The world aglow with eerie light. A bolt of lightning, fierce and wild, Struck the palm tree, once so styled, A fiery dance, the flames did sway, In the midst of darkness and dismay. The desert floor, now bathed in dread, As sparks flew high, like spirits dead, The palm tree's silhouette ablaze, A haunting sight, a fearsome gaze. The flames licked up the branches bare, An inferno born from nature's snare, The sky above, a fiery dome, An omen of destruction, to roam. The scorching winds, a ...

Forgotten Paws of Tucson

"Forgotten Paws of Tucson" by Drakovi Bloodrose  As the scorching Arizona sun beat down on the dusty streets of Tucson, I, a trembling and emaciated puppy, wandered aimlessly, my paws burning against the scalding asphalt. My tail, once bushy and full of life, now hung low between my legs, a sad testament to the sorrow I carried in my heart. My journey began as a carefree puppy, frolicking with my littermates in a warm and loving home. But one fateful day, a human hand callously abandoned us by the roadside, leaving us to fend for ourselves. The world suddenly turned cold and harsh, and I was thrust into a life of uncertainty and fear. Each day was a struggle to find food and water, my stomach constantly aching from hunger. I scavenged through trash cans, hoping to find some morsels of discarded food, but more often than not, my efforts were in vain. The humans who passed by on the streets barely spared me a glance, let alone a kind word or a gentle pat. I was invisible to the...

A Homless Heart's Plea

"A Homeless Heart's Plea" by Drakovi Bloodrose In Tucson's scorching blaze, I roam, A homeless pup, with heart of stone, Abandoned, lost, I'm all alone, My tail betrays the fear I've known. Once nestled in a loving den, Now shadows haunt each step I tread, In human hearts, no love to lend, A world unkind, where hope has bled. With hunger's ache, I seek for scraps, In trash bins' depths, my spirit saps, A beggar's life, a sorrowful lapse, Ignored by all, I'm but a trap. The darkness falls, a daunting shroud, In hidden corners, I'm avowed, To escape the stones that pierce so loud, To flee the wrath of hostile crowd. A park I find, a glimmer gleams, A child's tears, like distant streams, I nudge her gently, hope redeems, But love's denied, as nightmare teems. Her father's wrath, a cruel decree, In her eyes, a longing plea, I'm torn apart, yet still, I see, Not all are blind, to empathy. Through trials hard, I carry on, In solit...

From Darkness to Blooming

Once upon a time, there was a man named Drakovi, who carried a heavy burden within him. Each day, he struggled with a profound darkness that engulfed his thoughts and emotions. The weight of his inner turmoil seemed insurmountable, leaving him feeling isolated and detached from the world around him. Several years ago, Drakovi had endured a traumatic brain injury as a result of self-harm. The incident had left him with a terrible injury that altered his life forever. The injury had affected his brain's chemistry, leading to severe depression and a constant struggle with his mental health. Every day was a battle for Drakovi. Simple tasks that others took for granted became monumental challenges for him. The world around him seemed gray and lifeless, as if he was trapped in a never-ending fog. He often felt isolated and disconnected from those around him, unable to express the pain he carried within. Drakovi's family and friends could sense his anguish, but they were unsure of how...

Train Dogs For Fireworks

It is pretty frustrating to witness the influx of social media posts depicting dogs being terrified by fireworks. It is important to address the root cause of this issue rather than simply blaming those who shoot off fireworks. The responsibility lies with the dog owners and their training practices. Dogs should not have to rely on medication or excessive comfort to cope with fireworks. Instead, owners should prioritize acclimating their dogs to loud noises and potentially fearful situations through proper training. This includes gradually exposing them to similar sounds and creating positive associations, building their resilience over time. Owning a dog entails a commitment to providing the necessary care and training. Failure to do so can lead to unnecessary distress for both the dog and the owner. It is crucial that prospective pet owners understand the responsibilities associated with pet ownership and take appropriate measures to ensure their dogs' well-being. Let encourage r...
