Exasperated Perception

 Exasperated Perception

In the depths of ancient magic's hold,

Drakovi Bloodrose, a powerful witch so bold,

Perceived the world through wizened eyes,

And gazed upon its chaos with weary sighs.

He watched as mortals danced their dance,

Blind to the truth of life's expanse,

Trapped in a web of endless lies,

As the world around them slowly dies.

He saw the greed of man so rife,

And the endless battle for power and life,

As leaders fought with selfish might,

And ignored the plight of those in sight.

Drakovi Bloodrose shook his head,

And from his lips a bitter curse he said,

"For all their wisdom, knowledge and lore,

Humans seem destined to repeat the same mistakes once more."

He watched as nature cried in pain,

And the world was ravaged again and again,

By human hands so full of greed,

And the insatiable desire to always succeed.

Exasperated by his perception of man,

Drakovi Bloodrose wished for a different plan,

One where love and compassion reigned,

And the world's beauty was forever sustained.

But alas, such a dream seemed so far,

As humans continued to wage their wars,

Drakovi Bloodrose could only sigh,

And pray for the world's eventual ally.
